Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers (CAAR)

We are a member-driven non-profit association representing individuals working in the ag industry. CAAR’s membership represents the entire crop inputs sector: fertilizer, crop protection, biotechnology, seed, services, storage and handling, and equipment. Members also include suppliers, manufacturers, consultants, and industry associations.

Our Purpose

The purpose of our organization is to be the united voice for Canadian ag retailers. We achieve this by listening, educating, and advocating for responsible agriculture. Speaking as a unified voice to governing bodies, affiliated groups, and members of the public, we take a fact-based approach to address and influence policy change and public opinion.

We provide a community and sense of belonging to our members and take immense pride in uniting and empowering an industry.

Land Acknowledgement

As an association spanning across the diverse landscapes of Western Canada, we acknowledge that the land we live, work, and gather is the traditional territory of many Indigenous peoples. We recognize and respect the enduring relationship that Indigenous peoples have with their ancestral lands. We honour the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, past and present.

We also acknowledge the ongoing struggles for justice, reconciliation, and sovereignty faced by Indigenous communities. As we engage in our work, we commit to listening, learning, amplifying Indigenous voices and building meaningful partnerships based on mutual respect and understanding.
