Since 2011, as a result of Fertilizer Canada’s engagement with the federal and provincial governments, anhydrous ammonia carriers transporting anhydrous ammonia or UAN fertilizer have been able to operate under an ‘Hours of Service’ exemption from Transport Canada.

The past 3 months have been exceptionally busy months for the CAAR organization. We continue to evolve, and Members will begin to experience the changes in 2021.

CAAR has received official certification from Transport Canada and is now recognized as an official training organization. Online training courses offered by CAAR will also be updated to that reflect the CSA's recent changes. 

Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development have revised the Winter Application Restrictions, allowing agriculture nutrients to start being applied as of today, March 23rd, 2021.
