Meet the speaker
Murray is the national manager of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s Fertilizer Safety Program, where he has served in various roles for over 17 years. A Past President of the Association of American Plant Food Control Officials, Murray has worked to promote regulatory consistency and environmental protection across North America. He holds a master’s degree in biology from Carleton University and began his public service career with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, later working with Fisheries and Oceans Canada before joining the CFIA in 2008.
