Seeds Canada will be holding board director elections during its annual conference in Québec City, Que., on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The call for nominations for board directors is now open and will close on June 9.

Seeds Canada’s Board of Directors consists of 15 director positions, each with two-year terms. Positions are staggered to ensure continuity on the board, with eight positions opening in one year and seven the following year. There are eight positions up for election this year.

Submitting a director nomination

The following individuals are eligible to be nominated and stand for election:

  • An employee, director or owner of a Seeds Canada Business Class member in good standing
  • An employee or designate of a Seeds Canada Affiliate Class member in good standing
  • A Seeds Canada Professional Class member in good standing

Any Seeds Canada member may submit a nominee for consideration for a board director position during the Open Call phase. Any individual being nominated must be aware of and agree to the nomination. Individuals may self-nominate. Nominations can be submitted via Seeds Canada’s Board Director Nomination Form.
