Are you a mental health professional – or someone with mental health training or lived experience – who’s passionate about supporting rural communities?
The Do More Agriculture Foundation, in partnership with Farm Credit Canada, offers local community workshops to increase mental health literacy across Canadian agriculture. The flagship Talk Ask Listen sessions are delivered both in person and online and have reached communities from coast to coast.
The foundation is currently expanding its roster of trained facilitators to support these sessions on an as-needed basis. This is not a full-time or regularly scheduled position – facilitators are independent contractors called upon to lead workshops as opportunities arise. A typical facilitator may deliver one to three sessions per year (approximately 12–15 hours annually), depending on availability and regional demand.
If you are a mental health professional, have training such as Mental Health First Aid, and/or bring lived experience supporting your own or others’ mental health, contact The Do More Ag Foundation. The foundation provides coaching, resources and administrative support to ensure you’re equipped to lead.
The Do More Ag Foundation is especially seeking facilitators in British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
