Clouds in the form of a map of the world over a hilly field

CAAR has been invited to join the Global BioAg Alliance Retail Forum, an advisory group established to identify what retailers and agronomists need from product innovators, regulators and others to confidently recommend biological products. Executive Director Myrna Grahn will serve as the Canadian ambassador to this forum and is looking forward to working with international counterparts on this important initiative.

The retail forum is an initiative of the Global BioAg Congress, an organization of biological product innovators in agriculture. These products have become a fast-growing segment in North America, but they have also challenged farmers and retailers to find the products that really work best for a particular crop and location. Retailers need to be confident that a product they recommend will work and farmers rely on that expertise.

The Global BioAg Congress recently formed a Global BioAg Alliance to identify and address impediments to growing this segment. The retail forum is one of eight new forums, each at a different stage of the development process.
