Nurse Tanks

Regulations have changed regarding recertification for B620 (Nurse Tank) inspections. Certified Nurse Tank Inspectors are no longer able to take self-led courses for recertification, but CAAR has been approved to deliver training for recertification via Microsoft Teams!

The Nurse Tank Safety Program Training is required for the inspection, testing, and retesting of nurse tanks and applicator tanks for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) in accordance with CSA B620-20.

This recertification course is only available to those already certified under CSA B620-14.

Training will take place July 22, 2024 at 9:00 CDT via Microsoft Teams and will consist of approximately 5 – 6 hours of instruction, followed by the exam. Successful trainees will receive a certificate valid for three (3) years.

The cost of training for CAAR Members is $185.00 plus GST and the cost for non-members is $215.00 plus GST.

To confirm eligibility and to register for Nurse Tank Safety Recertification, please contact Maikka Manacsa at maikka@caar.org or Lisa Siragusa at training@caar.org. Training links will be distributed once eligibility is confirmed.

First-time trainees must take the NTSP Tank Inspector Training course in-person, which will be offered in September.
