    Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) recently hosted a virtual presentation regarding the 2021 Medium Term Outlook (MTO) for Canadian and international agricultural markets.

    The MTO is an analytical tool that provides a baseline projection for supply and disposition of major crops, livestock, dairy, poultry, feed, cereal and oilseed sectors over a ten-year period, 2020-2030, based on current policies, macroeconomic and agricultural market environment.

    Canadian Farmers Set Record Recycling Rate of 76% for Ag-Plastic Jugs in 2020

    Every year for the past 32 years, Cleanfarms calculates the rolling three-year average recycling rate of agricultural pesticide and fertilizer containers that are 23L and smaller. The great news is that the 2020 recycling calculated rate shows another major surge in recycling these containers: 76% in 2020 compared to 71% in 2019. This sets a record for recycling empty ag plastic jugs in Canada.
